The Aula is an open centre aimed at generating new initiatives and offering a platform so that professionals can stay in contact and exchange knowledge. It also aims to bring the passionate world of professional cuisine closer to individuals who love gastronomy.
With this in mind, the Aula offers courses and workshops which you can attend during your holiday in the region. The activities range from courses for children (in which they will be able to learn how to work in a kitchen with the great professionals in the sector) to basic cooking or Empordà cuisine workshops, as well as courses aimed at learning about the dishes created by the best chefs in the region.

The Espai del Peix, a project organised by the Fishing Museum (Palamós Town Council), is located in an unbeatable area in Palamós Port. It aims to contribute to the knowledge, sustainability and gastronomy of fishing produce unloaded at the Palamós fish auction, highlighting species that are not well known, but which have great cultural and gastronomic value, and learning about them.
It offers a great variety of workshops, guided tours to the fish auction and show cooking for all kinds of public.
The Centre d’Interpretació de la Gastronomia de Catalunya will enable you to discover the evolution of gastronomy throughout history, the development of tourism in the Empordanet through two audiovisual presentations, and everything you need to know about gastronomic campaigns, recipes, markets and so on, thanks to tactile panels, as well as the main products found in Catalonia with an explanation about them. Open during the opening times of the Tourist Information Office.
