The Josep Pla Foundation has held the SICTED quality tourist destination mark since 2008. Based in Palafrugell, the foundation was established in 1973 with the aim of promoting the reading and study of the author’s works. Visiting the house where Josep Pla was born (Carrer Nou, 49) and where the “Josep Pla (1897–1981)” permanent exhibition is installed, you will discover the vital, literary and journalistic paths of the author, in the context of the historical evolution of the 20th century.

The Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia – Ullastret is an organisation that has held the SICTED quality tourist destination mark since 2008. Located in Ullastret, the museum explains the Iberian culture of the north-east area of Catalonia, through the excavations done in the sites that make up the Ullastret archaeological site. The archaeological excavations and explorations in Ullastret and its surroundings since 1947 have made it possible to document its evolution from pre-Iberian settlements to the start of the Roman period.

The Toy Museum has held the SICTED quality tourist destination mark since 2008. Located in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, the museum has a collection of over 6,500 toys, dating from the years 1870–1985, almost all made in Spain. Over 2,200 toys are currently on public display.
At the Museum, you will find the emblematic tinplate toys of the Spanish companies Payá and Rico d’Ibi (Alicante), the wooden toys and “Pepa” dolls from the post-civil war period, the Seix & Barral theatres (Barcelona) and board games by the company Borràs (Mataró), among many others.

The Fishing Museum has held the SICTED quality tourist destination mark since 2008. Located in Palamós, the objective of the fishing museum is to provide a space for dialogue between seafaring people and the rest of society. To achieve this, it sets out to recover and reclaim an ancient relationship between communities and the sea; it sets out to help visitors discover an exciting and fragile world, a natural, social and cultural heritage deriving from fishing and its most direct protagonists, with the unequivocal desire to take a stand regarding the future of the sector and marine resources.

The Cork Museum has held the SICTED quality tourist destination mark since 2017. Located in Palafrugell, the Cork Museum acquires, conserves, interprets and emphasises the value of the heritage deriving from the world of cork in Catalonia, as something that shapes a shared landscape, industry, ways of life and identity. Its aim is to contribute to the social, economic and cultural development of the community; offering support to formal education and as an informal education proposal, as well as an option for creativity and leisure.
