“...Not only have there always been good cooks and people who have taken an interest in cooking, but there have also been surprising novelties. Working from ancient formulas, the people of the country have created certain innovations of great originality, which are worthy of being highlighted and valued as they deserve....”
Josep Pla, My country (1968)
Our district has a very extensive and varied range of restaurants. This variety will enable you to find meals for all tastes at affordable prices for every budget: restaurants of all categories, with dishes of the day, set menus, tapas ... but also dishes à la carte, the most innovative cuisine, experimental cooking ... or the traditional recipes of our grandmothers, of our fishermen; in a word, of our people.
Very often your meal will be complemented by splendid surroundings and views: restaurants in small villages, in magnificent restored farmhouses, in the main squares of our towns, in a narrow street of a fishing village, overlooking the sea, beside a Romanesque church.
Another major factor of our cuisine is the constant focus on quality. The district is a leader in applying the Tourism Quality Plan, which you will recognise by the Q symbol. The Plan seeks to ensure the maximum quality of the restaurants in all aspects: management, product quality, customer service, and so on a guarantee of assured quality.
