    3. L’Arrossada d’Albons (Rice in Albons) (Shrove Tuesday) (Tuesday of Carnival week)

    During Carnival time, one of the most deeply-rooted customs is a meal served to a large number of people. In Albons, this tradition has been preserved and, on Shrove Tuesday, rice is the main ingredient.

    4. El Mercat del Brunyol (The Dough Fritter Market) (Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Holy Week)

    Around the monastery, Sant Feliu de Guíxols offers visitors a great selection of brunyols (dough fritters) from different cake shops and bakers in the municipality, of which we would particularly mention the brunyol de triangle, a typical dough fritter found in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

    12. Jornada del Vermut (The Vermouth Day) (La Bisbal d’Empordà, 11 September).

    13. La Fira de la Poma (The Apple Fair) (Ullà. Third Sunday in October)

    A trade fair at which visitors can buy bags of apples, purchase desserts made by the locals in which apples are the main ingredient or try out freshly made apple juice. The fair, which is held in the old town centre, is complemented with craft stalls.
