L’Estartit is an old fishing centre which has become a leading tourist centre. It is in a special spot. The different landscapes, its large beach and its broad tourist, commercial and leisure offer make this part of the Costa Brava an ideal place for a holiday.

Start your day with a visit to the Medes Islands and Montgrí coast, on any of the boats in the port of l’Estartit offering this service or by kayak. This allows you to see the most representative coastal scenery of the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park. Another interesting idea is to enjoy the biodiversity of the seabed by practising respectful diving or the narrated underwater itineraries. Pick the option you like the most!

Strolling through the narrow streets or the busy Carrer de Santa Anna, you can sense the rhythm of life of the old days, maritime traditions, the life of the taverns and the processions in the special festivals that still take place today. Take advantage to enjoy the good food! Ask if there is currently a gastronomic campaign. L’Estartit is a municipality that very actively promotes local and seasonal produce.

When walking, you can enjoy views of the sea from the land. The viewpoints at Cap de la Barra and at the marshes of la Pletera and the mouth of the river Ter offer unique views of the Medes Islands. You can enjoy these great views with any of the routes we suggest from the tourist information office in L’Estartit.
