In addition, it aims to share this information with professionals from the sector and the general public as a whole, with the intention of contributing to knowledge creation.<\/p>\n<p>This project takes into account different analytic perspectives regarding tourism as an activity, such as its contribution to the region\u2019s economy and job creation, establishing the profile and motivations of tourists who visit, understanding how the region performs in terms of sustainability and interpreting the identity and reputation the region generates online, among other questions.<\/p>\n<p>The benefits of this project for the tourism sector can be summarised as:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Free access to up-to-date and verified information about the tourism activity that takes place in the Baix Empord\u00e0, through the website:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/observatoriemporda.com\/\"><strong>www.observatoriemporda.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Consult and download the <strong>annual report<\/strong>\u00a0to analyse and interpret how tourism is functioning in the Baix Empord\u00e0<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Access the data history to consult development and potential changes in trends experienced in the different statistical indicators<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Knowledge about the region in terms of sustainability through the ETIS indicators (European Tourism Indicators System)<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Personalising and adapting results to the tourism situation of each municipality<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Public and private sector involvement, encouraging regional participation and cooperation<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Transfer of data and cooperation between governmental bodies<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since 2016, the Tourism Area has worked on consolidating the Baix Empord\u00e0 Tourism Observatory, a project that aims to create knowledge about the region and contribute to the creation of information relating to the region\u2019s economic and tourism situation.
