Pals and its rice cuisine

The rice-growing tradition of Pals has been documented since medieval times. The proximity and excellent quality of this product has led to many dishes being based on the rice of Pals. A perfect time to taste it cooked in very different ways is in the town of Pals itself in the months of March and April.

This campaign offers the possibility of trying Emporda’s traditional rice casserole; to which each establishment’s cook gives his/her personal touch.

Rice from Pals is a product that belongs to the “Productes de l’Empordà” assured guarantee, a brand that guarantees the rice was produced in the Empordà region.
